FAQ
Where are GMB Dance classes held?
Classes take place at two locations: Hantsport Baptist Church and Hants Border Community Hall. Please double-check the location of your class when registering.
Do I have to commit to the full season?
No. Each session is a complete unit, and tuition is billed per session. You’re welcome to join for one session or continue through the full year.
Do sessions build on each other?
Yes. While each session stands on its own, dancers who continue through multiple sessions will experience the most growth and continuity.
What happens in Session 4?
Session 4 is when classes begin to transition into choreography for the recital. Dancers are welcome to learn and participate without committing to perform.
Is the Recital mandatory?
Not at all. Performing is completely optional. We aim to create a positive, low-pressure experience for those who choose to take the stage.
What is Session 4+?
Session 4+ is an additional block of classes specifically for dancers performing in the recital. This time is used to rehearse, refine, and build confidence on stage.
Can we join mid-season?
In many cases, yes. We’ll always do our best to place dancers in a class where they can feel comfortable and supported.

Special Sessions
In addition to our regular season, GMB Dance offers small-group and introductory programs designed to support dancers who may benefit from a different pace, structure, or entry point.
These offerings reflect our belief that there are many ways to enter and experience dance.
The Basics: Adult Intro to Dance
A welcoming starting point for adults who are new to dance, returning after time away, or simply curious about movement.
This class focuses on the foundations that support all dance styles—coordination, rhythm, balance, and body awareness—taught in a clear and encouraging way.
There is no expectation of prior experience. Dancers are invited to move at their own pace in a space that values curiosity, presence, and progress over perfection.
Dates: Wednesdays, September 16 – October 28, 2026
Time: 6:00 - 7:00 pm
Format: Flexible registration
Fee: $14.00 per class
Dancers are asked to register in advance, but there is no requirement to attend the full session.
Children’s Foundations Dance Collective
A small-group program designed to offer a supportive, flexible introduction to dance.
This class is a good fit for dancers who may find a traditional class environment challenging, including those who benefit from a quieter space, a slower pace, or more individualized support.
With a limited group size, instruction can be responsive and adaptive, allowing each dancer to engage in their own way. Classes focus on rhythm, movement exploration, and creative expression, with an emphasis on building confidence, comfort, and connection.
Each session runs as a complete unit with a consistent group of dancers. If you’re unsure whether this program is the right fit, you’re always welcome to reach out—we’re happy to connect and talk it through.
Tuition: $90.00 per session
