Welcome (back!) to GMB Dance

Session 1 | Saturday, Sept 6 - Thursday, Oct 23

Starting a new session of dance is exciting! (And sometimes a little nerve-wracking, too!)

Whether you’re returning or brand new, here’s everything you need to know to feel prepared and confident for class.

What to Bring

  • Ballet slippers, jazz shoes, or tap shoes (depending on class)

  • Contemporary dancers usually dance barefoot

  • A filled water bottle

  • Snack for after or between classes

  • Extras: GMB Dance sticker chart (provided), change of clothes, and extra underclothes (just in case)

Tip: It helps if dancers use the washroom before class begins.

Class Locations

Hantsport Baptist Church – Wellwood Community Hall

  • Mondays & Thursdays

  • Enter through the side building. Go upstairs to the left (or use the ramp) all the way to the hallway by the kitchen. The gymnasium is on the right.

  • Outdoor clothes, shoes, boots, and bags are left in the hallway.

  • Bring in water bottles and sticker charts!

Hants Border Community Hall

  • Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Saturdays

  • Enter through the front door with the ramp. Shoes/boots come off in the vestibule.

  • Coats and dance bags are placed in the cloakroom attached to the studio.

Arrival & Pick-Up

  • Dancers should arrive in dance clothing and be class-ready 5 minutes before start time.

  • Parents and caregivers are asked to pick up dancers promptly at the end of class so the next group can begin on time.

Observation & Demonstration

  • At GMB Dance, all children must be able to enter the dance space independently without a parent or guardian, unless specific support has been arranged in advance. This helps us create a safe, focused, and confident environment for all dancers.

  • The studio door remains open until all students arrive or up to 5 minutes after class begins.

  • Demonstration Classes take place during the week of October 18–23 (Session 1) & February 16 - 21 (Session 3)

Attire & Policies

Before your first class, please review our Dress Code & Dancer Handbook and Policies & Protocols for full details.

We look forward to dancing with you this session!
